Obituary of Helen P. Reid

Helen Patricia Reid, 91, of Wellsboro passed away on January 13th at The Gatehouse Hospice in Williamsport. Helen was born the youngest of 8 children in Philadelphia to Thomas Cummings and Mary McNichols Cummings on April 15, 1926. Helen worked as an office assistant in the insurance industry until she married Wesley Reid in 1957. She was married to "the love of her life" for 25 years until his death in 1982. Helen enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family. She had a special love for animals and provided a loving a loving home to many during her life. Helen is survived by her 3 daughters: Rosemarie Whitford (Rick) of Trout Run, Donna Marie Reid of Mansfield, and Mary Stanley (Ron) of St. Petersburg, FL. Helen is also survived by her two grandchildren, Mallory Whitford of Williamsport and Wesley Whitford of Trout Run. Memorial donations may be made to The Hundred Cat Foundation, P O Box 10, Centre Hall, PA 16828. In keeping with Helen's wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be in Salem-St. Paul Cemetery in Liberty at the convenience of the family. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
