Obituary of Essie M Thomas

 Essie M. Thomas, age 85, of Mansfield, PA, died Thursday, December 7, 2017 at The Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. She was born November 16, 1932 in Mainesburg, PA, a daughter of Roy and Ruth (Edwards) Aumick. Essie is survived by her husband, Clifford. She worked in the cafeteria at Mansfield University before she retired, and enjoyed baking and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband, Essie is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Clifford L and Gail Thomas of Mansfield, PA, Dennis J. and Susanne Thomas of Mansfield, PA, Gary G. and Tanya Thomas of Mansfield, PA; grandchildren, Amanda Breeden, Christine Spencer and Michael Heyer; 5 great grandchildren; 4 great great grandchildren. Essie was predeceased by an infant daughter, Gail Marie, a grandson, Kurt Thomas in 1995; 6 brothers and 5 sisters.

Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, December 11, 2017 from Noon to 2:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel with Rev. Tim Parker officiating. Burial will be in State Road Cemetery.
