Obituary of Ann Butler

Ann Mae Butler, age 80, of Tioga, PA died Friday, December 1, 2017 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born July 4, 1937 in Wellsboro, PA, a daughter of William and Harriet (Loveless) Petticrew. Ann and husband, Norman "Nub" Butler, celebrated 62 years of marriage on November 18th. She was the Tax Collector for Farmington Township; worked at Owlett's in Keeneyville, and the R. B. Walter Cafeteria. She attended the Trinity Presbyterian Church, enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. Ann is survived by her husband, Norman; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Lois and Larry Heater of Lawrenceville, PA, Linda and Dave Schaar of Cayuta, NY; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Steven Butler of Safley Harbor, FL, James "Jimmie" and Heidi Butler of Millerton, PA; a brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Beverly Petticrew of Odessa, FL;6 grandchildren, Amy, Melissa, Christina, Tanya, Joseph, and Colby; 13 great grandchildren, and several step-grandchildren; a brother-in-law and sisters-in-law, Neal and Lorraine Butler of Elkland, PA, Mary Butler of Farmington Hill, PA; step-brothers, Fred (Judy) LaVancher, John (Cynthia) LaVancher both of Tioga, PA, Joseph (Teresa) LaVancher of Lindley, NY; several nieces, nephews and friends. Ann was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Eugene Butler, and a sister-in-law, Marilyn Doud. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Debbie Button officiating. Burial will be in Farmington Hill Cemetery.
