Obituary of Harry Edward Swan

Harry Edward Swan, Sr., age 83, of Painted Post, NY, passed away Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Corning Center for Rehabilitation in Corning, NY. He was born March 13, 1934 in Corning, NY, a son of Ralph and Evelyn (Junker) Swan. Harry was married to the late MaryAnne (Cleveland) Swan. He worked as a bus mechanic for the Addison School District before he retired. Harry was a member of the Corning Moose, enjoyed golfing, bowling, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Harry is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Harry Edward and Marcy Swan, Jr. of Painted Post, NY; 2 sisters, Caryl Copp of Painted Post, NY, Elaine Hayes of Tonawanda, NY; a brother, Ralph Swan of Addison, NY; 2 grandchildren, Matthew (Taylor) Swan, and Michael (Kurstin) Swan; 2 great grandchildren, Kelsey Swan and Paisley Swan. He was predeceased by his wife, MaryAnne, and a brother, Charles Swan. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Friday, October 28, 2017 at 5:00 P.M. at the First Baptist Church, 14 Baldwin Ave., Addison, NY with Rev. Scott Greene officiating.
