Obituary of Elwin Elmer VanZile
Elwin E. VanZile, age 78, of Tioga, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born on April 4, 1939 in Freeman, NY, a son of Charles W. and Edna M. (Daily) VanZile. Elwin was the husband of Patricia (Cummings) VanZile. He worked at Ingersoll-Rand for over 40 years.
Elwin is survived his wife, Patricia; two sons, William (Sherry) VanZile of Tioga, PA, Elwin "Les" (Mary) VanZile of Lexington, SC; a daughter, Lori (Terry Keith) Benson of Tioga, PA; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; a brother, Harry VanZile of Middlebury Center, PA; a sister, Patty (Llewellyn) Carr of Caton, NY. He was preceded in death by his parents; three sisters, Dorlene Young, Doris Surine, Marilyn; two brothers, David and Dennis.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 10:00 AM to Noon at the Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A service will immediately follow at Noon with Pastor Jim Stearns officiating. Burial will be held in Tioga County Memorial Gardens.
