Obituary of Ruth Cooper

Ruth B. Cooper, age 94, of Millerton, PA, passed away Thursday, August 24, 2017 at her home. She was born August 15, 1923 in Centerville, Iowa, a daughter of Vernon and Ruby (White) Banta. Ruth was married to Quentin Cooper who died in 1983. She worked for McKesson Chemical Manufacturing as a data processor before she retired. She was an avid bowler; was a member of the knitting guild; enjoyed spinning and weaving. Ruth is survived by 2 sons, James (Laurie) Cooper of Gardiner, NY, Scott Cooper of Millerton, PA; a daughter, Christine Casey of West Palm Beach, FL; 2 grandchildren, Steven Hoek and Amy Kubik; 7 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Robert Banta, and a sister, Gretchen Taylor. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
