Obituary of Elsie M. Krause

Elsie M. Krause, age 81, of Mainesburg, PA, passed away at her home Saturday, July 8, 2017. She was born July 24, 1935 in Arnot, PA, a daughter of Clarence, Sr. and Florence (Shink) Hodder. Elsie was the widow of Donald W. Krause who passed away on January 25, 2006. Elsie worked in the kitchen at the Blossburg Hospital before it closed.

Elsie is survived by 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Donna Krause of Middleburg, PA, David and Kelly Krause of Mansfield, PA, Curtis and Michelle Krause of Forest Hill, MD; 2 brothers and a sister-in-law, Ronald Hodder of Blossburg, PA, Robert and Joan Hodder of Morris Run, PA; a sister and brother-in-law, Bernice and Roy Clark of Wellsboro, PA; 8 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; also many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, 5 sisters, Gertrude Gruzlewski, Virginia Nowakowski, Shirley Chapman, Sylvia Lamonski, and Violet Lloyd; 2 brothers, Clarence and Gilbert Hodder.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 11, 2017 at 11AM at the Mainesburg United Methodist Church with Pastor Tim Parker officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Mainesburg United Methodist Church, 100 Smith Park Road, Mainesburg, PA 16932. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
