Obituary of Robert G. Thompson

Robert G. (Bobby) Thompson Jr., age 64, of Arnot, Pa, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017, Manor Care, Williamsport, PA. Bobby was the son of Robert G. Thompson Sr. and Martha Mahosky Thompson who predeceased him. He was a 1971 graduate of North Penn Jr.-Sr. High School, Blossburg, and was employed as a logger for many years. Bobby is survived by his son, David (Kim) Thompson of Liberty, sisters, Regina Thompson, Marie (John) Mattison of Arnot, Linda (William) Bloom of Clearfield, Irene Defibaugh of Alabama; brothers, Chester (Gladys) Mahosky, Elroy(Brenda)Thompson, Richard Thompson, Leonard(Sylvia) Thompson, all of Arnot, and Michael (Lynne) Thompson of Blossburg. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, Uncles and Aunts, and special fur kid, Tiny. Per Bobby's wishes, there will be no visitation or services. Arrangements are entrusted to Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., of Mansfield, PA. A memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. at the Arnot Ballfield, Arnot, PA for those wishing to attend. Memorial donations may be entrusted to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701, or the Blossburg Memorial Library, 307 Main St., Blossburg, PA, or a charity of one's choice.
