Obituary of John A. Heatley
John A. Heatley, age 64, of Liberty, PA passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family. John was the husband and soul mate of Susan "Sue" (Wilber) Heatley. He was born on May 9, 1953 in Williamsport, PA, a son of Edwin and Norma (Broughton) Heatley. John was a ribbon machine mechanic at Osram Sylvania for 41 years in Wellsboro, Pa. He enjoyed spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, camping, archery and decorating for the holidays.
John is survived by his wife, Sue; two sons and daughters-in-law, Bob and Sara Heatley of Liberty, PA, Jeff and Courtney Heatley of Wellsboro, PA; a daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Tony Hackett of Newfield, NY; two grandchildren, Marissa Hackett and Jaclyn Hackett; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronald Heatley and Carlene of FL, Robert and Beverly Heatley of Roaring Branch, Richard and Charity Heatley of Liberty, PA; two sisters, Alta Miller of Wellsboro, Pa, Leah Kelly of Liberty, PA; several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, May 15, 2017 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating. Burial will be in Salem-St. Paul Cemetery, Liberty, PA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Geisinger Medical Center, Knapper Clinic, 100 N. Academy Ave., Danville, PA 17822. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
