To the entire family,
I was deeply saddened when I heard of the passing of John. While a student at Mansfield University John and my cousin June and the Kids were my "little taste of home". As a student at Mansfield I found them to be a great help in keeping me on track with my education. I could talk to John and we did simple things together that meant so much to me. Just a little visit at their house on some Saturdays or Sundays, got my mind off the work at school and that helped me succeed with my education. I will always remember the entire family, and the good times we had as recent as a few years back at Homecomings at Mansfield University.
My wife (Jo) and I send our Deepest Sympathy to all.
John will be missed.
Love, Peace and God Bless
Sincerely,
Doran (&Jo) Dreibelbis

Mr. Rudy was a wonderful teacher. I remember being afraid because we had to stand to speak in class... and like so many of my teachers, he had taught my parents. But I soon discovered that his gruff exterior hid a genuinely nice man. He was an asset to MHS and our community. May he Rest In Peace.

What a wonderful video tribute to your amazing father, grandfather and husband. Wonderful memories of your lives together. I was privileged to have him as a teacher in the sixties - he was a wonderful man and a great teacher. I will always carry fond memories of him. Bless you all.

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. He was a great teacher and I will really miss seeing his "smiling face and hello" every time I visited the Green Home. He was in the room next to my Uncle. I also had an opportunity a few years ago to talk to him prior to a MU Alumni Weekend about his life and how he ended up at MHS. It was a very interesting story about how our paths eventually crossed years ago. He will be missed by many!
