Obituary of Clifford Squire
Clifford R. Squire, 44, of Marietta passed away unexpectedly April 2, 2017. Born in Syracuse, he was a Heavy Equipment Operator for the Town of Onondaga Highway Dept. He married the love of his life, Jessica VanDergrift Squire on Oct. 15, 2016, loved the outdoors, his 8 acre farm, his dog Lilly, and horses Bruce and Marc. There was nothing on wheels that he couldn't drive. He was a member of the NYS Horse Puller Assoc. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Surviving are his wife, Jessica; his parents, Dana and Kathleen Squire; his sister, Kimberly Squire Lucak; niece and nephews, Emily and Jacob Lucak, Colton and Mason George; mother and father-in law, Lucy and James VanDergrift; sister and brother-in-law, Joleen and Geoffrey George; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Friends may call Wednesday, April 5th from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M. with a service to follow at 8:00 P.M. at the Butler-Badman Funeral Home, Inc., 4504 W. Seneca Tpk., Syracuse, NY. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the NYS Horse Pullers Assoc. in care of Larue Austin, 2736 Big Pond Rd., Columbia Cross Roads, PA 16914, or the Navarino Fire Dept., 3276 Amber Rd., Syracuse, NY 13215.
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, April 10, 2017 from 10:00 A.M. to Noon at the Mainesburg United Methodist Church, Rte. 6, Mainesburg, PA. A memorial service will immediately follow at Noon with Rev. Tim Parker officiating. Burial will be at 2:00 P.M. in Knowlton Cemetery, Covington, PA.
