Obituary of Keven Dewert
Keven E. Dewert, age 55, of Westfield, PA, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family Sunday, Febraury 26, 2017 at his home. He was born on June 3, 1961 in Corning, NY, a son of Daren and Rhea (Steves) Dewert. Keven was employed by Corning Inc. as an electrictian. He was the husband of Lisa (McCracken) Dewert. He was a member of Jemison Valley Church in Westfield. Keven enjoyed wood working and fishing. He was the Williamson Road District Commissoner for the Boy Scouts for five years. He and his son were members of the Boy Scouts Troop 61, Corning, NY.
He is survived by his mother, Rhea of Montour Falls, NY; his wife, Lisa; a son, Gaven Dewert, of Westfield, PA; a step-son, Robert Kroeck of Savannah, GA; two step-daughters, Veronica (Andrew) Vargeson of Byesville, OH, Angela (Brian) Brass of Corning, NY; 10 grandchildren; a brother, Teron (Dollas Fuller) Dewert of Moneta, VA; two sisters, Nancy (Michael) Dawson of Beaver Dams, NY, Tammara (Steven) Caparulo of Mooresville, NC; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father.
Visitation will be March 25th, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. at the Jemison Valley Church, 5870 Rte. 249, Westfield, PA. A memorial service celebrating the life of Keven will follow at 4:00 P.M. with a fellowship meal to follow at 5:00 P.M. Memorial contributions may be made to Five Rivers Council Boy Scouts of America, 3300 Chambers Rd. Ste 5190, Horseheads, NY 14845.
