Obituary of Shirley Ann Russell

Shirley Ann Russell, age 76, a life-long resident of Lawrenceville, PA, went home to be with her Lord on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. She was born July 19, 1940 in Corning, NY, a daughter of Lawrence and Marjorie (Jones) Russell. Shirley worked as a clerk at J.J. Newberry's for over 20 years, the Dandy Mini-Mart and the Pump 'n Pantry. She was a member of the Lindley Community Church and sang in the church choir for many years. Shirley was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting and crocheting. Shirley is survived by a brother and sister-in-law, Cleo and Marian Russell of Lawrenceville, PA; 2 nieces, Terry (Brian) McCarter of Sayre, PA, Karin (Robert, Jr.) Penzone of Lawrenceville, PA; a nephew, Brian (Karen) Russell of Corning, NY; 8 great nieces and nephews, Kourtney and Kaitlynn McCarter, Gavin and Jacob Russell, Robert III, Hannah, Joshua and Andrew Penzone. She was predeceased by her parents. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Friday, March 3, 2017 from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel with Rev. Ron Head officiating. Burial will be in Power Corners Cemetery, Lawrenceville, PA.
