Obituary of Richard D. Purcell

Richard D. Purcell, age 49, of Blossburg, PA died on Monday, June 18, 2007 at his residence. He was born on October 18, 1957 in Philadelphia, PA, a son of Martin and Helen (Kahney) Purcell. Richard was a self employed plumber and served in the U.S. Army. Richard is survived by a son, Jordan Wheeler of Arnot, PA; four daughters, Stephanie Haas of Lansdale, PA, Melanie Purcell of Blossburg, PA, Rebecca Purcell of Covington, PA, Amy Purcell of Blossburg, PA; two stepsons, Nicholas and Eric Wivell of Covington, PA; six grandchildren; Jeffrey, Aubrey, Kaeley, Kodey, Madison and Emily; two brothers, Marty Purcell of Philadelphia, PA, David Purcell of Red Hill, PA, and his best friend, Gary Wheeler of Liberty, PA. Richard was preceded in death by a brother Robert Purcell. A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 22, 2007 at 10:00 AM at Holy Child Catholic Church, 242 South Main Street, Mansfield, PA, with Rev. Joseph Gilbert officiating.
