Obituary of Kenneth L. Taft
Kenneth Taft, age 69, of Millerton, PA, died Thursday, January 5, 2017 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. He was born June 28, 1947 in Nelson, PA, a son of John and Isabel (Chart) Taft. Kenneth was married to Nancy (Hemenway) Taft and would have celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on February 11th. He worked as a meat cutter at BiLo in Wellsboro, and for the former Acme Market. He enjoyed trap shooting, hunting, fishing with his sons, and woodworking. He enjoyed making maple syrup and playing with his beloved cat, Ozzie.
Kenneth is survived by his wife, Nancy; three sons and daughters-in-law, Kenneth and Tammy Taft of Nobleford, Canada, Brad (Brenda Alpaugh) Taft of Sherburne, NY, Sean and Tamera Taft of Fayetteville, AR; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Shirley Taft of Tioga, PA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his parents and a sister, Diane Rundell.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from Noon to 2:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Jennifer Wolf officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Mansfield, PA.
