Obituary of Lois Hershey
Lois "Janie" Hershey, age 71, of Mansfield, PA, passed away on Thursday, December 15, 2016 at Troy Community Hospital, Troy, PA. She was the beloved wife of Brian Hershey. Janie was the daughter of Jack W. and Dorothy (Hill) Thorton. She was a member of the Family Haven Church in Troy, PA, and was a 20 plus year volunteer for the community with Northern Tier Helping Hands and the Salvation Army.
In addition to her husband, Brian, she is survived by two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jack and Genny Makowiec of Elmira, NY, Richard Ellis, Jr. of Millerton, PA; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pamela and Don Corwin of Lawrenceville, PA, Julienne Wallace of Nelson, PA; a sister, Patricia Lambert of Elmira, NY; two step-sons, Ryan Hershey of Ulysses, PA, Shawn (Abby) Hershey of Ft. Stuart, GA; 2 step-daughters, Melinda (Christopher) McNeely of Mansfield, PA, Diane (James Copp) Asline-Rote of Mansfield, PA; 29 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel And Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 P.M. with Pastor David Storrs officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the funeral home to assist with expenses. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
