Obituary of Emma M. Sweely

Emma M. Sweely, age 91, of Mansfield, PA, died Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Bradford County Manor, W. Burlington Twp. She was born July 26, 1925 in Mansfield, a daughter of Jay and Edith (Jenkins) Bryant. Emma drove school bus, worked for Finesilvers in Mansfield, Remington Rand, Mister Donut, Mansfield, and Curly's Chicken House, Elmira, NY. She was a member of the Millerton United Methodist Church, PA State Grange, and enjoyed making candy, crocheting, cooking and flower gardening. She was predeceased by her husband, Keith F. Sweely in 1987. Emma is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Roger and Susan Sweely of Mansfield, PA, James "Jim" and Emily Sweely of Millerton, PA; 2 daughters, Linda (Linda Baldassari) Sweely of Mansfield, PA, Phyllis Curren of Millerton, PA; seven grandchildren, Joseph and Tracy Sweely, Tricia Hall, Rebecca Clawson, Jay and Kelly Clawson, Angela Sweely, Chip and Brenda O'conners, Mick and Tara O'conners; three great grandchildren, Molli Hall, Kyli Hall and Lilly O'Conners; a sister-in-law, Marciel Holton of Horseheads, NY; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by sisters, Madeline Whitteker and Jeanette Bryant, son-in-law, Martin "Mick" "Marty" D. Curren. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, December 19, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Watson Cemetery, Roseville, PA.
