Obituary of Stephen Worthington
Stephen Worthington, age 55, of Wellsboro, PA, died on Saturday, November 26, 2016. He was born on March 5, 1961 in Bryn Mawr, PA, a son of Amos and Mary (Blank) Worthington. He was very involved with Hamilton-Gibson, volunteering within the community, and a sponsor for AA. He performed in many theater productions, and was particularly remembered for his Shakespearean performances. A lover of sound, theater, music and animals, Steve was also an avid fisherman and considered Pine Creek and the Grand Canyon a sacred place. Stephen was the husband of Jodie-Beth (Maw) Worthington. He was employed with KC101 as a radio broadcaster. Steve had been a radio announcer for over 40 years with various stations in and out of the area.
He is survived by his wife, Jodie-Beth; his father, Amos (and Joan); two sons, Dustin Worthington of Westfield, PA, Noah Worthington of Erie, PA; a daughter, Charlotte Worthington of Sayre, PA; two step-sons, Kody McCracken of Wellsboro, PA, Benjamin Staab of Erie, PA; four grandchildren, Carter, Lennon, Gracie, Braelyn; two brothers, Andrew (and Kristine) Worthington of Wellsboro, PA, Kylan (and Chihiro Sattler) of Whitneyville, PA; four step-brothers, Atit Worthington, Gustavo Worthington, both of Rochester, NY; Jordan (and Grizelda) Glimm of Blossburg, PA, and Gavin Glimm of Long Island, NY; six step-sisters, Talia Sattler of Mansfield, PA, Aria Worthington of Long Island, NY, Anais Sattler of Harrisburg, PA, Alyssa (and Jess) Kruesler of Los Angeles, CA, Rocio Zimmerman and Bronwyn Glimm; two nieces, Yaya Sattler and Gracie Glimm; two nephews, Elliot and Tucker Worthington. He was predeceased by his mother, Mary.
An informal service gathering of family and friends will take place at the Warehouse Theater Gallery, Main St., Wellsboro, PA on Thursday, December 1, 2016 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.
