Obituary of James Aumick

James "Jim" Aumick, age 80, of Mainesburg, PA, died on Sunday, November 27, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 16, 1936 in Mainesburg, PA, he was the son of Roy and Ruth (Edwards) Aumick. Jim is survived by his wife, Norma Jean "Tootie" Aumick, together they celebrated 56 years of marriage. Prior to his retirement, Jim was employed as a foreman with Sullivan Trail Construction Company for 39 years. He and Tootie owned a cabin in a remote part of Canada that they enjoyed for nearly 12 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his many fishing buddies who visited their cabin for a week at a time. In addition to his wife, Tootie, Jim is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Elizabeth Rose and Robert Sweeney of Mainesburg, PA, Tanya and Charles Sharp of Troy; two sons and daughters-in-law, James Ralph and Phyllis Aumick of Mainesburg, PA, Brian Lee and Kaye Aumick of Mainesburg, PA; one sister and brother-in-law, Essie and Clifford Thomas of Mansfield, PA; 7 grandchildren; Ryan, Patrick, James (Karen), Torri (Bill), Brandi (Sam), Amanda (Zach) and Wanda; 11 great grandchildren; Ben, Tommy, Rylie, Madison, Tucker, Kylie, Calee Jean, Teddy, Angel, Isabelle and Jacob. Jim and Tootie are also blessed with many friends and extended family. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Roy and Ruth Aumick, an infant daughter, Nancy Jean in 1957 and 10 brothers and sisters; Stan, Roy (Stub), John (Mac), George (Smit), Dennis (Boots), Edna, Nellie, Betty, Sarah (Midge) and Rose. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, November 29, 2016 from 11:00 A.M. to 12:00 Noon at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held following calling hours at 12:00 Noon at the funeral chapel with Pastor Eric Ferguson officiating.
