Obituary of Darlene A. Haldeman
Darlene A. Haldeman, age 73, of Morris Run, PA, formerly of Hilltown, PA, peacefully passed on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA with family by her side. She was born April 4, 1943 in Doylestown, PA a daughter of Chester and Elsie (Beer) Lutz. Darlene was the wife of Gerald "Jerry" A. Haldeman. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Blossburg, PA, and a former member of the New Britain Baptist Church in New Britain, PA.
She lived for her children and grandchildren and spent her life caring for others. She had a kind and loving nature that touched everyone she met. She also enjoyed her pets, Abby and Muffin, loved socializing with her friends and brought comfort to many with her wonderful smile that could light up a room. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
In addition to her husband Jerry of 54 years, she is also survived by two sons and a daughter; Kevin Haldeman of Hilltown, PA, Dawn Schaeffer and fiancé Gary Gutkowski of Red Hill, PA; Todd and wife Meghan of Barto, PA; a brother, Charles Lutz of Pipersville, PA; seven grandchildren, Travis, Drew, Kristina, Kyle, Michael, Justin and Amanda. She was preceded in death by a brother, Chester Lutz, Jr., and two sisters, Delcia Lentz and Margaret Konderchek.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 1, 2016 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Scanlin Funeral Home, 175 E. Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA 18914. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 P.M. Burial will take place at Beulah Cemetery, New Britain, PA at a later date. Memorial donations may be made in her memory to the PSPCA, 350 E.
