Obituary of Syvellon C. Mascho
Syvellon C. "Toad" Mascho, age 89, of Millerton, PA, died Sunday, August 28, 2016 at The Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. He was born September 1, 1926 in Westfield, PA, a son of John E. and Florence M. (Roth) Mascho. Toad was the widow of Shirley E. (Frost) Mascho who passed away on January 3, 2016. He was a retired Watch Engineer for New York Telephone. Toad enjoyed camping, square dancing, tinkering on things, and caring for his yard. He was a U. S. Navy veteran and served during WWII.
Toad is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Christina (Bob) Wolfe of Tioga, PA, Tammy (Kress) Simpson of Mansfield, PA; a brother, John A. Mascho of Wilmington, NC; 4 grandchildren, Megan (Austin) Welch, Hillary Simpson, Cody Wolfe, and Alec Simpson; 3 great grandchildren, Carley Sykora, Conner Sykora and MaKensy Welch. Toad and Shirley adopted children, Tina, Mike and Tammy, as babies and always made them feel like birth children. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a son, Michael Mascho in 1983, 2 sisters and 4 brothers.
Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A memorial service with military honors will follow at 7:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Debbie Button officiating. Burial will be in Gray Cemetery.
