Obituary of Carl D. Reed
Carl D. Reed, age 83, of Buttonwood, PA, died Tuesday, August 23, 2016 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 10, 1933 a son of Frederick and Edna (Knobble) Reed. Carl married his wife, Joan (Alexander) on August 22, 1953 and enjoyed 63 years with her. He was a U.S. Army veteran; a lifetime member of Robert F. Snyder V.F.W Post 6755 (Liberty); a member of the Arnot Sportsman's Club; Hillside Rod and Gun Club (Blossburg). Carl enjoyed going back to Eastpoint Hotel Hunting Club, spending time with his sons and grandsons and playing cards.
Carl is survived by his wife, Joan; children, Ron (Ellen) Reed, Donnie (Lydia) Reed, Carol Smith, Laura (Jeff) Tripp, Tina (Denny) Atkinson, Carlene (Steve) Harer; several grandchildren, Dean Reed, Andre Reed, Heather English, Carl Reed, Tara Losinger, Brandy Tripp, Jennifer Tripp, Dusty Shellenberger, James Reed, Kyle Atkinson, Darick Graham, Stephanie Harer, and Stacee Harer; 23 great grandchildren.
A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family. Buckheit Funeral Chapel And Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA is assisting the family.
