Obituary of Imogene Winnie
Imogene Winnie, 88, of Mansfield, PA, died Tuesday, May 24, 2016. Born November 2, 1927 at home in Mainesburg, PA, she was the daughter of Ray and Evina (Jackson) Morgan. She attended a one room school on Old State Road and graduated from Mansfield Jr. Sr. High School in 1946. Imogene was a member of the State Road Baptist Church; worked in the Leather Co. and Crowe Nursing Home in Troy, PA; Mansfield College and had many babysitting jobs. She was married to the love of her life, Wallace Winnie, Jr. on August 8, 1950 at the State Road Baptist Church.
Preceding her in death were her husband, Wallace Winnie, Jr.; sister, Nellie; brothers, Richard, Francis and Wilbur Morgan. Imogene is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Cathy (Blair) Winnie of Tioga, PA; daughter, Diana (Morgan) Kriner of Mainesburg, PA; sisters-in-law, Shirley Morgan of Elmira, NY and Wanda (Winnie) Blackwell of Wellsboro, PA; grandchildren, Gordon and Erin Kriner of North Carolina; Rebecca (Kriner) and Wayne Yskamp of Mainesburg, PA; great grandchildren, William Yskamp, Madison Jake (Yskamp) and Eleanor Kriner; nieces and nephews, Jennie Rae Pratt of Georgia, Elda Sara Morgan, Neil and Jessie Robert Morgan of Elmira, NY; cousin, Donald Dewey of Harrisburg, PA. She enjoyed life, quilting, family and friends.
A private graveside service will be held in State Road Cemetery, Mainesburg, PA at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Diana Kriner.
