Obituary of Richard C. Morley
Richard Charles (Rich) Morley (72) of Pennsdale, PA, went to be with the Lord April 24th, 2016. Born in Blossburg, PA Dec. 29th,1943 the son of Harold and Pauline Morley. He is a graduate of North Penn High School and Coyne Electronics Institute, Chicago, Illinois and owner of a Radio Shack business and electronics repair in the Blossburg area. He was also a dedicated Vietnam war veteran with an honorable discharge and member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, USA Jaycees, Knights of Columbus, and St. Joseph's Church in Morris Run, PA. He is survived by his mother, Pauline Morley of Blossburg, PA; son, Benjamin (Krista) Morley of Quakertown, PA; wife Doris Morley; her two daughters Laurie Marshall and Teresa (John Polifka) of Nanticoke, PA; and two adored step grandchildren (Rachel and Jenna); a brother Raymond (Connie) of Ankeny, Iowa; and three sisters—Leona (Gary Ruberto), Barbara (Robert Stoudt) of Blossburg; Evelyn (Richard Keefe) of Sutton, MA; two very special friends (Dale Grant of Florida, Eugene Nowak of Knoxville, PA) and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and his beloved dog, Charlie. Predeceased by his father Harold Morley. He enjoyed fishing, bike riding, skiing, swimming, a bit of golf, reading, debating and love of laughter and joking.
Richard's message to all is "Always remember the veterans for they are dedicated to the country and strive to protect our freedoms, not to be taken for granted."
Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, May 2, 2016 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield. A prayer service will follow at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Bryan Wright officiating. Burial will be in St.Joseph's Cemetery, Morris Run.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Legions or VFW of your choice; the Blossburg Memorial Library; the Lycoming County S.P.C.A., 2805 Reach Road, Williamsport, PA 17701; or to the charity of your choice.
