Obituary of Carl R. Shelman
Carl L. Shelman, age 81, of Mountain Top, PA, formerly of Blossburg, PA, died after a lengthly illness on Tuesday, March 22, 2016 at the home of his daughter and son-in-law, Frank and Pam Wallace in Mountain Top, PA. He was born July 13, 1934 in Blossburg, PA, the son of Manley and Gladys (Kennedy) Shelman. Carl retired from Ward Manufacturing, Blossburg, PA as a Tool and Dye Maker and Machinist in 2003. He later retired from Weis Markets in Wellsboro, PA. Carl was the widow of Norma J. Shelman. He was a U.S. Army veteran.
Carl was 1 of 5 brothers and 5 sisters. He is survived by a sister, Geraldine Johnson of Mansfield, PA; 2 brothers, Max Shelman of Washington state and Jack Shelman of Covington, PA.
Carl is also survived by 3 daughters, Catherine Shelman of Fellsmere, FL, Pamala Wallace of Mountain Top, PA, and Sheila Keatings of Fellsmere, FL; a son, Daniel Shelman of Fleming, GA; 10 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 20th, 2016 at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Friends and family may call for visiting at 4:00 PM with the services beginning at 5:00 PM.
