Obituary of Shirley Gordon
Shirley A. (Fitzpatrick) Gordon, age 68, of Gillett, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, March 15th, 2016 after a long battle with colon cancer. Born on June 26th, 1947 in Elmira, NY, she was the daughter of Joseph and Lena (Gates) Fitzpatrick. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Dean Gordon of 45 years, and daughter-in-law, Fawn Gordon. Prior to retirement, Shirley worked at the Troy Community Hospital and as an Aide at Tioga Nursing. She was also a member of several tractor clubs with her husband, Dean.
Shirley was survived by her two sons, Andrew (Betty) Gordon of Millerton, PA, Michael Gordon of Gillett, PA; daughter, Rebecca Gordon of Millerton, PA; several grand- children and a great grandchild; several special friends including Jason Freeman, Jennifer Everson, Richard (Nellie) Merrick, Steve and Cheryl Rote, and several more.
Family and friends are invited to a memorial service on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Coreyland Church, with a dish to pass dinner to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Buckheit Funeral Chapel to help with expenses. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
