Obituary of Cynthia Mae Serfass

Cynthia Mae Serfass, age 59, of Wellsboro, PA, died Friday, February 5, 2016 at her home. She was born June 17, 1956 in East Stroudsburg, PA, a daughter of Charles and Shirley (Smith) Schaller. Cynthia was the wife of James "Jim" M. Serfass. She was a respiratory therapist at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital in Wellsboro for 24 years. Cynthia was a member of the First Baptist Church in Wellsboro, and enjoyed gardening and her grandchildren. Cynthia is survived by her husband, Jim; a son, James Serfass, Jr. of Alexandria, VA; a daughter and son-in-law, Heather and Alex Walker of Shippensburg, PA; her parents, Charles and Shirley Schaller of Stroudsburg, PA; a brother and sister-in-law, John and Laurie Schaller of Stroudsburg, PA; 3 grandchildren, Arianna, Gabby and Nahlia. She was predeceased by a brother, Craig Schaller in 2014. Private services will be held at a later date. Burial will be in Cherry Valley Methodist Church Cemetery, Stroudsburg, PA.
