Obituary of Russell C. Campbell
Russell C. Campbell, age 84, of Arnot, PA, died Saturday, December 26, 2015 at his home. He was born January 18, 1931 in Ansonia, PA, a son of Glenn and Edna (Kennedy) Campbell. Russell was married to Beverly (Bellinger) Campbell for 59 years. He was employed as a bridge foreman for PennDot. Russell was a member of the Arnot Presbyterian Church, the Arnot Sportsmen's Club, the Blossburg V.F.W., collected Coke memorabilia, gas pumps, and his 1954 Mercury. He enjoyed old car shows, and planting flowers. Russell was a US Army veteran serving from 1952 to 1954 in the Korean War.
Russell is survived by his wife, Beverly; a son, Glenn Campbell of Blossburg, PA; 3 daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and Terry Wescott of Elgin, SC, Robin Perla of Arnot, PA, and Jacqueline and Thomas Edwards of Fort Wayne, IN; 8 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 2 brothers; Glen B. (Betty Cross) Campbell, of Wellsboro, PA, Leon and Sandra Love of Horseheads, NY; a sister, Carolyn O'Connell of Gang Mills, NY; a special friend, Frank Sherant of Arnot, PA, and a canine companion, Needles. He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Frederick and Gordon Campbell; 2 sisters, Alice Cole and Margaret Campbell.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2016 at 2:00PM at the Arnot Presbyterian Church, Arnot, PA.Memorial donations may be made to the Arnot Presbyterian Church, c/o Lois Kirkendall, P.
