Obituary of Frederick Charles Day
Frederick Charles Day, age 84, of Middlebury, PA, passed away on Tuesday, December 15, 2015, at Broad Acres Health and Rehabilitation Center, Wellsboro, PA. He was born December 4, 1931 in Farmington Twp., PA, a son of Fred and Clara (Southard) Day. Frederick worked as a tool and die maker at Dresser Rand before his retirement. He was a member of the American Legion in Wellsboro, PA and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Frederick was an Air Force veteran serving during the Korean War.
Frederick is survived by a son, Freddie Day of Shippensburg, PA; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Donna Jean Day of Beaver Dams, NY, Misty and Stephen Stanley of Tioga Junction, PA; 2 sisters, Vera Karhan of Germania, PA, Anna (Harold) Monk of Middlebury, PA; 2 grandchildren, Emily Rose Day Gilbert and Alaina Lynn Stanley; 2 great grandchildren, James and Maggie Gilbert. He was predeceased by 5 sisters, Delores Kellner, Florence Niles, Iris Bunnell, Judy Connelly, Cora Lucas; 2 brothers, Lindy Day and Donald Day; a son, Baby Boy Day.
Services will be held Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the Lawrenceville Fire Department with Pastor James Truax officiating. Donations may be made to the Animal Care Sanctuary, 11765 Route 6, Wellsboro, PA 16901. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
