Obituary of Anita M. Wood

Anita M. Wood, age 83, of Mansfield, PA died Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born November 20, 1932 in Pine City, NY, a daughter of Floyd and Neva (Andrews) Adams. Anita was the wife of the late Wilbur K. Wood, Sr. She was a waitress at various restaurants in the Mansfield area. Anita is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Earl and Joan Wood of Mansfield, PA; a daughter, Penny Wood of Mansfield, PA; a brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Lisa Adams of Millerton, PA; a sister, Marlene Hitchcock of Elmira, NY; brother-in-law, Gordon (Sheila) Wood of Tioga, PA; sister-in-law, Anna May Hammond of Mansfield, PA; 10 grandchildren; several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband; sons, Wilbur K. Wood, Jr., and Floyd Wood; grandson, Michael Wood; brothers, Rexford and Robert Adams; sister, Delores Burlew. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, November 27, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Harry Colegrove officiating. Burial will be in Jobs Corners Cemetery.
