Obituary of Charles H. Zuris
Charles H. "Chuck" Zuris, age 66, of Gillett, PA, passed away October 29, 2015, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. He was born June 22, 1949 in Elmira, NY, a son of Arthur F. Zuris, Sr. and Leona (Jones) Zuris. Charles worked as a tug boat captain for many years, and enjoyed being on or near the water and was an avid fisherman and enjoyed boating. He also enjoyed carpentry, NASCAR, cooking and was also a musician, playing guitar.
Charles is survived by daughter, Carrie Voorhees of South Carolina; brother, Arthur Zuris of Waverly, NY; sisters, Margaret Zuris of Montour Falls, NY, and Mary (Duane) Hanville of Elmira, NY; 3 grandchildren, Tyrell, Brieanna, and Ryan; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his siblings, Wesley Zuris and Yvonne Spearen.
Friends and family are invited to call on Thursday, November 5, 2015 from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA.
