Obituary of Sharon L. Smith
Sharon L. Smith, age 73, of Mansfield, PA, died Friday, September 11, 2015 at The Green Home, Wellsboro, PA. She was born July 31, 1942 in Blossburg, PA, a daughter of Olin Lee and Edna (Purvis) Chamberlain. Sharon is survived by her husband, Roger W. Smith. She was employed as a secretary at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital for 27 years, and was a member of the Mainesburg United Methodist Church. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and Christmas.
In addition to her husband, Roger, Sharon is survived by 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Wayne and Sherry Smith of Wellsboro, PA, Rob and Robyn Smith of Wellsboro, PA; a daughter, Renee Smith of Wellsboro, PA; her mother, Edna Chamberlain; 5 grandchildren, Dustin (Angie), Derrick (Lori), Damon (Kayleigh), Jay (Ashley), and Joe; 7 great grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew, Karleigh, Adalynn, Paitynn, Riley and Sophie; 3 brothers and a sister-in-law, Bill and Carol Chamberlain of Covington, PA, Lee and Ellen Chamberlain of Myrtle Beach, SC, David Chamberlain of Wayland, NY; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by an infant son, Jim Smith, her father, Olin Lee Chamberlain, and a niece, Cary Chamberlain.
A private graveside service will be held at Tioga County Memorial Gardens, Mansfield, PA. A celebration of her life dinner will be held at the Mainesburg United Methodist Church at 4:30 P.M. on Wednesday, September 16, 2015. Contributions may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
