Sad to hear of Jack's passing. Remember him so well from Galeton HS! He certainly was so intelligent and such a very talented musician. Rest in eternal peace, Jack, with the Good Lord's loving arms wrapped around you, your family, and your friends. Thank you for your service to our nation.

We have been friends all through school and working at the Grange National Bank at Ulysses together and other times. We discovered that he was colored blind when we sent him to the Art Room for construction paper to decorate the gym for something. I discovered that he had a very good sweet tooth for Pecan Sandies cookies. Gerry Bush Prouty told me that he invited her and a few other girls to his house, and he taught them how to waltz. : ) Can you believe that? I don't ever remember him even attending one of our sock hops. (We were not allowed on the new gym floor with our shoes on.) That was our Sophomore year. He was a great " Tin Man" in our play, Wizard of Oz. He could really make a piano talk! He played for military functions for his unit when he was in the Army. My sympathies to his family and to Lael Eggler, who was there for him to the end. Jack and Tom Eggler were close friends for a long time.

Jackie and I were classmates and I will always remember him as being very smart, quiet and thoughtful. He was worthy of the respect of all of us. My heartfelt feelings go out to all of his family.

Jackie was a very special person to me. We grew up together in Galeton on First Street and partly Fairview Avenue. We used to sit on the porch at his Grandmother's house for hours talking, laughing., and then Jack played piano and we would sing. What great times. He was on the honor roll at School. Very intellegant. Always made me look good.! Jackie was a private person, who in later life suffered physical illness for a long time. I always sent him cards and words of friendship.
God Bless him and rest in peace Jackie. I still wish you would have come to our 1957 class reunions. You always said you hated to come, I pleated with you so many times.
Love your friend always
Rosie
