Obituary of Joan I. Jones

Joan I. Jones, age 69, of Nelson, PA died Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the Green Home in Wellsboro, PA. Joan was born on June 25, 1946 a daughter of Woodrow and Beatrice (Stratton) Phelps. She had been employed by Morella in Elkland, PA, and then retired from K&W Medical Specialties in Westfield, PA. Her favorite hobby was sewing. Joan is survived by two sons Jeremy David (Michele) Jones of Lawrenceville,PA, Gary M. (Tammy Taylor) Jones of Lawrenceville, PA ; three grandchildren Alicia, Jeremy and Nichole; two great grandchildren. She is also survived by two brothers and three sisters-in-law Victor (Charlene) Phelps of Wellsboro, PA, Gerald (Linda) Phelps of Tioga, PA, Judy Phelps of Mills, PA. She was preceded in death by a sister Beverly Locke and a brother Bernard Phelps. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. The Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S.
