Obituary of Mildred E. Cummings
Mildred E. Cummings, age 98, of Dauphin, PA, formerly of Tioga, PA, died Thursday, July 23, 2015 at her daughter's home. She was born May 15, 1917 in Farmington Twp., Tioga Co., PA. Mildred was the wife of the late Luther Cummings who died in 2010. She worked as a cafeteria cook in the Northern Tioga School District. Mildred was a member of the Tioga Grange and performed in the Grange Band – Hiltop Ramblers; 4-H leader for 20 years; member of the Tioga Fireman's Auxiliary; liked to crochet, sew and cook.
Mildred is survived by 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa and Chuck Donbaugh of Dauphin, PA, Beverly and David Wilkins of Lawrenceville, PA; 5 grandchildren, Sheryl Mondock, Nancy Townsend, Richard Wilkins, Ashley Hanmer, and Andrew Sterling; 6 great grandchildren, Melinda Woodruff, Daniel Mondock, Jenna and Laura Townsend, Rachel Wilkins and Grace Hanmer. She was predeceased by her husband; an infant son, Luther Cummings, Jr., 2 brothers, Roy and Leon Smith.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, August 1, 2015 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Sandy Brant officiating. Burial will be in Nelson Cemetery, Nelson, PA.
