Obituary of Duane J. Moore
Duane J. Moore, age 81, of Mansfield, PA, died Thursday, July 9, 2015 at Robert Packer Hospital, Sayre, PA. He was born September 3, 1933 in West Pike, PA, the son of Burton and Anna (Loucks) Moore. Duane celebrated 50 years of marriage to Beverly Annabel Moore on May 21st, 2015. He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving during the Korean War. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, Duane was a conductor for the Wellsville-Addison-Galeton Railroad; Wildlife Conservation Officer/Game Protector from 1959-1967; Probation Officer for Tioga County from 1967 – 1976; Director of Domestic Relation for Tioga County from 1976 until he retired in 1994. Duane was a 50 year member of the F.&A.M. of Pennsylvania, Friendship Lodge #247 Mansfield, PA, member of the William B. Wilson American Legion Post 572, former member of the Mansfield Men's Chorus, an avid hunter, fisherman and enjoyed researching his family genealogy. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather.
Duane is survived by his wife Beverly; 3 daughters, Denise Moore of Salem, IN, Renee Lippincott of Tucson, AZ, and Michele Moore of Mansfield, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Gregory (Michelle) Moore of Blossburg, PA; 5 grandchildren, Kelly Rhodes, Alex Moore, Darius Kenyon, Zachary Moore and Lilyana Moore; 4 great grandchildren, Joseph Rhodes, McKayla Rhodes, Kayleigh and Karson Kenyon.
A private graveside service will be held in Oakwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, or the American Cancer Society, 1948 E.
