Obituary of Lisa M. Hilfiger

Lisa M. Hilfiger, age 58, of Mansfield, PA, passed away Tuesday July 7, 2015 at Lehigh Valley Medical Center, Lehigh Valley, PA. She was born September 29, 1956 in Syracuse, NY, a daughter of Stuart and Loretta (Miller) Smith. Lisa was the wife of Richard S. Hilfiger. She was employed with Well Spring Community Services as a Peer Specialist. Lisa recognized her need for Jesus Christ's sacrifice on her behalf and trusted and accepted the redemption God offers to all who come to him through Jesus. For this reason we can and do rejoice that she is in heaven with the Lord now. Lisa was a member of the Covington Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School and the Awana Program for many years; she also was a member of the YMCA where she attended Zumba classes. Some other things she enjoyed were going for walks, reading, and browsing architectural/home design magazines. Lisa is survived by her husband, Richard; her father, Stuart Smith of Alfred, NY, her mother, Loretta Smith; a son, Jeremy Hilfiger of Mansfield, PA; a brother, Steven Smith of Corning, NY; a sister and brother-in-law, Wendy and Robert Kopal of Woodlands, TX; 3 nephews, Kevin Rumsey of MI, Ryan and Drew Kopal of Houston, TX; a niece Janice Rumsey of Covington, PA. Family and friends are invited to call on Friday, July 10, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA, and Saturday, July 11, 2015 at the Covington Baptist Church from 10:00 A.M. to 12:00 noon with a funeral service immediately following at the church at 12:00 noon with Pastor Adam Pereira officiating.
