Obituary of Janice B. Sterling
Janice B. Sterling, age 78, of Millerton, PA, died Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Hershey Medical Center, Hershey, PA. She was born May 21, 1937 in Lawrenceville, PA, a daughter of Robert and Sarah (Roberts) Brennan. Janice celebrated 54 years of marriage to R. Verle Sterling. She was a teacher in the Pine City School District for 32 years. Janice was a member of the Roseville United Methodist Church, enjoyed painting and crossword puzzles.
Janice is survived by her husband, Verle; 3 sons and daughters-in-law, Richard Sterling of Wellsville, PA, Daryl and Nancy Sterling of Millerton, PA, Matthew and Angie Sterling of Korea; a daughter and son-in-law, Sara and Michael DiAncona of Hamburg, PA; 7 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter, Grace; 2 brothers, Philip and Rosemary Brennan of Mansfield, PA, Robert and Gloria Brennan of Lawrenceville, PA; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Roberta and Donald Stratton of Lawrenceville, PA, Clarice and Stewart Allen of MD. She was predeceased by her parents; 2 sisters, Almerica Kreger and Patricia Brackley.
Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, June 4, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 5, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral chapel with Rev. Michelle Bodle officiating. Burial will be in Roseville Cemetery.
