Obituary of William G. Bixby
William G. "Bill" Bixby, age 67, of Mansfield, PA, died Thursday, February 19, 2015 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Bill was born October 22, 1947 in Wellsville, NY, a son of Clifford and Elizabeth "Betty" (Rice) Bixby. He was the husband of Toni (Jessup) Bixby for 44 years. Bill was a retired logger for House Lumber Co. He loved the outdoors and being in the woods hunting, fishing, trapping and spending time with his family. Bill was a U. S. Air Force veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of Community Grace Fellowship.
Bill is survived by his wife, Toni; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Aaron Bixby of Mansfield, and James and Angela Bixby of Elkland, PA; a granddaughter, Kylee Bixby; 2 step-grandchildren, Corrine and Chad Shuemaker. He was predeceased by his parents and a brother, Gary Bixby.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, February 24, 2015 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral chapel with Pastor Guy Thompson officiating.
