Obituary of Stanley E. Brown
Stanley E. Brown Sr., age 79, of Lawrenceville, PA, died Wednesday, January 21, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 17, 1935 in Lindley, NY, son of Raymond and Eloise (Merritt) Brown. Stanley retired from Corning Packaging and Warehousing Company, where he was employed for 32 years. He was a member of the American Legion Post 235 in Tioga, and of the Edward Brewer Marine Corp. League, Elmira, NY. Stanley was honorably discharged from the U.S. Marine Corps after five years of service. He enjoyed hunting, racing cars, riding his lawn mower, watching the Syracuse basketball team, and spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Donna; a son Stanley E. Brown Jr. of Cortland, NY; a step son Greg (Carol) Glover of Williamsport, PA; a step daughter Julie Glover of Tioga, PA; 4 grandchildren Jade, Chelsea, Jasmine, and Kimberly; 5 great grandchildren; a sister Phyllis (Jim) Deming of Lindley, NY. He was predeceased by 2 brothers Loren and Merritt Brown.
In keeping with Stanley's wishes there will be no services, and a private burial will be held at a later date at the East Lawrence Cemetery, Lawrenceville, PA. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Stanley's name to the American Legion Post 235 of Tioga, PA, P.O. Box 512, Tioga, PA. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com
