Obituary of Richard Hazlett

Richard "York" Hazlett, age 81, of Tioga, PA, died Sunday, January 18, 2015 at Darway Elder Care Center, Forksville, PA. He was born September 22, 1933 in Elkland, PA, the son of George and Doretta Mae (Oakden) Hazlett. Richard was a member of the Calvary United Methodist Church and the Tioga American Legion Post 235. He retired from Dresser Rand after 40 years of employment. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Christine; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Cynthia and Gary Warfle of Tioga, PA, and Julie Hazlett of Livingston, TX; 4 grandchildren, Charity(Adam) Carl, Meagan (Dennis) Chapmen, Andrew (Anna) Warfle, and Autumn (Jairus) Young; 5 great grandchildren Chase, Bella, Laurel, Grace, and Logan; and a sister Myra Mae Tennant of Elkland, PA. Richard was predeceased by his parents; 6 brothers Ralph, Donald, Maynard, Cyril, Royce, and Winston Hazlett; and a sister Georgeanna Burke. Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 21, 2015, from 5 to 7 P.M at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc. 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2015 at 10:30 A.M at the Calvary United Methodist Church 6 Franklin St., Lawrenceville PA, with Reverend Mary Dotson officiating.
