Obituary of L. Marie Heverly
L. Marie (Whitsell) Heverly, age 75, of Mansfield, PA died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, PA. She was born May 26, 1939, the daughter of Norman and Orall (Chaffee) Whitsell. Marie was the widow of Robert E. Heverly. She was a registered nurse for several years at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital and retired from Anderson Memorial Hospital in Anderson, SC. She was an avid reader and loved owning Heverly's Book Room in Wellsboro, PA.
Marie is survived by 3 daughters and sons-in-law, April and Jim Bradley of Mansfield, PA, Amy Heverly of Townville, SC, Jill and Daniel Ward of Montgomery, PA; a brother, Norman Whitsell of Campbell, NY; a sister, Maryan VanDusen of Auburn, NY; 7 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her husband, Robert, and infants, Joseph and Jane Ellen.
Family and friends are invited to call on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 from 11:00 to Noon at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will follow at noon at the funeral chapel. Memorial contributions may be made in Marie's memory to the Mansfield Library, N.
