Obituary of Peter J. Winter

Peter J. Winter, Jr., age 71, of Columbia Cross Roads, PA, died November 25, 2014 at Arnot Ogden Medical Center, Elmira, NY. Peter was born December 9, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA, a son of Peter J., Sr. and Rose (Apfl) Winter. He was married to Joan (Dessalet) Winter. Peter was a mechanic and equipment operator for Airport Striping in Pine City, NY before he retired. He enjoyed gardening, farm tractors, his pumpkin patch, and his feline companion, Mr. Magoo. Peter is survived by his wife, Joan; 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and George Aumick of Mansfield, PA, Patty and Curt Schrader of Troy, PA; 4 grandchildren, Samantha (Ray) Schrader, Nicole (Adam) Chamberlain, Marissa (fianc�, Ben McBratney) Schrader, Kaitlyn Schrader; 3 great grandchildren, Peyton, Hayden and Christopher; 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Jack and Cheryl Winter of Huntington Valley, PA, Fred and Linda Winter of Langhorn, PA; 2 sisters and a brother-in-law, Anna Hammershock of Bethlehem, PA, Rosemary and Mike Jester of Mountain Top, PA; a sister-in-law, Helen (her special friend, Charlie) Benti, of Yardville, NJ. He was predeceased by a son, Peter, III, and a sister, Theresa Day. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
