Obituary of Maynard A. Cushing
Maynard A. Cushing, age 75, of Tioga, PA, died Wednesday, November 19, 2014 at his home. Maynard was born June 15, 1939 in Corning, NY a son of Arnold and Lorraine (Boehm) Cushing. Maynard was a self-employed painter and paper hanger. He was a US Army veteran.
Maynard is survived by his former wife and caregiver, Rita Seals; 2 sons and daughters-in-law, Brian and Dee Cushing of Wellsville, NY, Edward and Arlene Cushing of Lawrenceville, PA; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; 6 sisters and a brother-in-law, Gloria Clemens of Tioga, PA, Penny and David Cushing of Bernville, PA, Marlene Gillett of Bath, NY, Sandra Thorpe of Mansfield, Jeanne Passeri of Mansfield, and Pauline Six of Mansfield, PA. He was predeceased by 3 sons, Rodney in April 2014, Mark in November 2014, and infant son, Michael Scott in 1967; 2 daughters, Bonnie Mattison in 2007, Brenda Jo Cushing in 1967, brothers, Virgil, Ronald, and Kenneth.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 22, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. at the Blossburg United Methodist Church. A memorial service will follow with Rev. Michele Somerville officiating. Military honors will be provided by the Tioga County Honor Guard. Contributions may be made to Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S.
