Obituary of Arlan D. Plank
Arlan D. Plank, age 77, of Liberty, PA, died Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at the Williamsport Hospital. He was born April 29, 1937 in Liberty, PA, a son of Lawrence and Lois (Moyer) Plank. Arlan was married to Geraldine A. (Prekope) Plank on June 28, 1958. He was a truck driver for E & J Trucking, hauling milk and coal. Arlan repaired lawn mowers and small engines; enjoyed spending time with his family, doing word search puzzles, watching baseball and watching the animals and birds outside. He was a member of the Nauvoo United Methodist Church.
Arlan is survived by his wife, Geraldine; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, Charles L. and Charlene Plank of Williamsport, PA, Patrick M. Plank of Liberty, PA; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Debra S. and Doug Hilfiger of Williamsport, PA, Linnette Plank of Liberty, PA; 10 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 4 brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald and Pauline Plank of Tioga, PA, Larry Plank, Marlin and Diane Plank, John and Sue Plank all of Liberty, PA; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Joanne and Fred Heyler of Nauvoo, Norma and Bob Pritchard of VA. He was predeceased by 2 grandchildren, Travis and Brad, and a brother, Merlin Plank.
Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, October 18. 2014 from 3:00 to 5:00 P.M. at the Nauvoo St. Paul United Methodist Church, 49 Link Hill Road, Nauvoo, PA. Funeral services will follow at 5:00 P.M. with Pastor Tom Harmic officiating. Memorial donations may be made to Nauvoo St. Paul United Methodist Church, P O Box 4, Liberty, PA 16930.
