Obituary of Gerald Donald Wales
Gerald "Donald" Wales, age 81, of Millerton, PA, died Tuesday, September 9, 2014 at his home. He was born August 23, 1933 in Elmira, NY, a son of William and Mina (Henry) Wales. Don celebrated a 63rd wedding anniversary on March 31 with his wife, Janet (Fleming) Wales. He always enjoyed owning and operating his own farm with his wife. He enjoyed spending time with his family.
Don is survived by his wife, Janet; 6 children; Connie (Jeff) McDonough of Scranton, PA, Donna Brewer of Tioga, PA, Sandra (John) Mundro of Saylorburg, PA, Donald (Karen) Wales of Millerton, PA, Timothy (Lynette) Wales of Millerton, PA, and Pamela (Russell) Draper of Millerton, PA; 14 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, George (Beverly) Wales of Millerton, PA, Robert Wales of AZ; a sister, Frances Woughton of Elmira, NY; sister-in-law, Erma Wales of Millerton, PA. He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Maxwell, Harrison and William, Jr.; 3 sisters, Leda Montgomery, Laura Miller, Hazel Pettit; half-brother, Joe Wales; half-sister, Eva Purvis, and a son-in-law, Robert Brewer.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made in Don's memory to the Millerton Fire Department, 16 North Road, Millerton, PA 16936, or Susquehanna Hospice, 24 Walnut St., Wellsboro, PA 16901.
