Obituary of Bette Boyden

Bette Boyden, age 87, of Mainesburg, PA, died Sunday, August 24, 2014 at Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital, Wellsboro, PA. Bette was born September 28, 1926 in Gillett, PA, a daughter of Edson and Maude (Hilfiger) Lawrence. Bette was the wife of the late Charles Boyden. She was an avid reader. Bette is survived by 3 sons, William Boyden, James (Donna) Boyden, both of Mainesburg, PA, John Boyden of Aztec, NM; a daughter, Donna (John) Elsbree of Troy, PA; 2 sisters, Shirley (Richard) Kenyon of Troy, PA, Joan (Gene) Jackson of Mainesburg, PA; several grandchildren; many great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles in 1996; a son, Flynn Boyden; 5 brothers, Robert, Jack, Richard, Jerry, and Eugene Hilfiger; a sister, Jeanne Crawford; 2 daughters-in-law, Pat Boyden and Rieta P. Boyden. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday, August 30, 2014 from 10:00 to 11:00 AM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, 637 S. Main St., Mansfield, PA. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at the funeral chapel with Pastor David Dressler officiating. Burial will be in the State Road Cemetery. www.buckheitfc@hotmail.com
