Sandy, Kurt, Julie-My deepest sympathy for you & your family. May God bless you & give you strength & peace in this most difficult time. May your memories help ease the sadness you are going through. Although it has been many years since I had the pleasure of meeting such a gentle man, I remember him well! He was a mountain of a man, with a heart to match! At first I was intimidated by him, but wasn't long and I discovered he was a gentle, and caring teddy bear of a man. I enjoyed my visits to your family home, and looked forward to seeing your Dad-he had an awesome sense of humor, and always made me feel welcome in your family home!! I know he will be missed by many!As you fly high above Big Red may you finally rest in peace-no more pain, no more worries. Another beautiful angle called home- I tip my hat to you Mr.Hoffman! R.I.P

I am sure going to miss hearing all of reds stories. I will especially miss talking to him about EMS and his parachuting days. In the few years I have known Red he has really made an impact on me. I feel like I have lost a member of my family but I know he is at peace now.
