Ivan M. Finch age 76 of Tioga, PA, died Thursday, February 2, 2007 at Corning Hospital. Ivan was the husband of Yvonne Dolly (Mosher) with whom he would have observed a 55th wedding anniversary on May 24, 2007. Ivan was born on July 29, 1930 in Wellsboro, PA, a son of Hugh and Erma (Roupp) Finch. Ivan was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He enjoyed farming, fishing and hunting. Ivan was an employee of Corning Inc. for forty five years. He was a member of the Flint Glass Workers Union Local 1000. Ivan was a US Army Veteran. He attended the West Jackson Baptist Church.
Ivan is survived by his wife Yvonne Dolly of Tioga, PA, two daughters and sons-inlaw Cindy and Carl Hutcheson of Millerton, PA, Marletta and Norman Williams of Safford, AZ, a son and daughter-in-law David and Mary Finch of Beaver Dams, NY, four grandchildren Michael Hutcheson, Teresa Degarmo, Jeffery Hutcheson, Tina Smith, two great grandchildren Dakota Williams, Isaac Smith, two brothers and a sister-in-law Merle Benauer of Tioga, PA, Duward Dewey and Lillian Benauer of Lawrenceville, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson Clint Williams in 2003.
Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Monday, February 5, 2007 from 5 to 7 PM at the Jacquelyn A. Buckheit Funeral Chapel, Crematory & Monuments, PC 637 S. Main St. Mansfield, PA. A memorial service will be held immediately following the visitation on Monday at 7 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Bill Sheppard officiating. www.buckheitfcandcrematory.com.
