Obituary of Walter C. Phillips

Walter "Bud" C. Phillips, III, 61, of Morris, PA, passed away July 6, 2014 unexpectedly at home. He was the husband of Kathleen "Kathy" Phillips. Walter was born on December 22, 1952 in Williamsport, PA. Bud was employed as a machine operator with Ward Foundry in Blossburg, PA for 27 years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and his horses, chicken barbeques and telling jokes and stories. Bud is survived by his wife, Kathy, his children, Richard (Lori) Phillips of Blossburg, PA, Heather (Joe) Mann of Williamsport, PA, Penny Whipple of Covington, PA, Chad Phillips of Jersey Shore, PA; grandchildren, Ryan, Nickolas, Alesia, Nicole, L.J., Tyler and Dakota; sisters, Carol Phillips of Morris, PA, Yvonne Broughton of Genoa, NY, Alfreda (Max) Harlan of English Center, PA, Judy Maness of Linden, PA; brother Daryl (Amy) Phillips of Wyoming; good friends, Wiley and Karen Vail, Richard and Charity Heatley, Rick and Anna Mae Fabian; in-laws, Dortha Webster, sisters-in-law, Shirley (Rich) Welch, Sandy (Pat) Pfiefer, Robin Pratt, Deanna Weber, Shaun Johnson, Kris Johnson, brother-in-law, Ronald Tomlinson, several nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, good friends and neighbors. He was predeceased by his parents, Walter and Ethel Phillips and brother-in-laws, John Maness, Howard Broughton and a son-in-law, Lonnie Whipple, Sr. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday, July 10, 2014 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Buckheit Funeral Chapel and Crematory, Inc., 637 S. Main Street, Mansfield, PA. A funeral service will be held immediately following calling hours at 8:00 PM at the funeral chapel with Pastor Jeffrey Rush officating.
